hello, I am new here and I have been looking arround and taking notes . but I am trying to start up a home recording studio mainly atracting rap artists and R&B artist that just need to record over a beat. right now im working with a Desktop PC running XP, Alesis Multimix 8 USB, Samson CL8 studio condensor mic and (refrain from laughing) a tascam US-428 opperating all in Adobe Audition 1.5. and I was just wondering what else would you guys suggest. im mainly doing every thing on the PC, got the US-428 to add some feel to the studio. thanks

hi there you got the basics there though i would add some sort of midi controller to your set up, i use the midiman oxygen8 v1 with some soft synth plugins so that i can add my own basslines, pads etc, allows you to be more creative in the mix if your laying something down and think, it could do with an atmospheric element or hard banging bassline here or there...
