 Finding a good program in portland,ore

So I am living in portland,ore. I am interested in becoming a audio engineer. I don't know where to start.. I looked it up on-line and it kept prompting me to the recording connection? Does anyone out there have advice or?? I love music so much! This would be a perfect fit for me if I could find the right place! Any suggestions would be appreciated!
