Help Getting that 60's sound
Hi there,
Anyone got any tips on how to go about getting that 60's "Woodstock" sound?

Yeah pretty vague.
When you listen to Woodstock you are listening to recordings made with band-limited equipment. That means gear which by default will add noise, color and distortion to the sound. Certainly not what you'd have heard if at the gig itself, although the amps and PA would have be pretty noisy and under-powered too.
So how do you create that?
Obtain old analogue gear as they used, or try to re-create that sound bearing in mind you need to process:
limited bandwidth
noise
hiss
distortion
A start anyway, though the best thing is to listen listen listen hard and try to emulate the tones you hear using your modern gear.
Something to think about right?
