i really hate the sounds im getting... my feeling is towards that its my recording environment..what else could it be..it sound really dull and imbalance to me

As far as the equip. fire the soundblaster. You wont here anything proper from it.
The instrumentation got better with each song.
But the melodies do need to be brought up.
You need to fatten up the vox. Try some comp. but don't go crazy.
The tracking seems to be ok, you just need more practice. Professional mastering could help. Everything needs to be tightened up.
