my roytek mic won't play

A year ago I got that roytek unidirectional dynamic mic, impedance 600 Ohms. Since i have a cheap sound card with regular mic, linein & speaker outputs the mic is not playing. Nothing zero. I have those jack converters, although the initial one is pretty huge, it takes a chain of converters to fit the backside input.

Maybe the signal is just too low and it probably takes a preamp, or another soundcard? What in case I install the Sound Card SC-7200 7.1 TRUST?
How good is that one?
How good is this mic at all? I'm radio host experienced and plannig to do voiceovers. I don't need a perfect sound, just the one without much hiss and unwanted stuff like that.

Send me some useful recommendations please.
Thank You all!

Adis, Bosnia
