 problem with NT5

Hi,
I´ve been using for a year without problems a pair of Rode NT5 with a Saffire connected to my laptop to record my classical guitar , but a few days ago, without making any change from my part, the sound recorded is extremely low, even with the gain at full; could it be a mics problem?

Most likely this is a cable or connection problem, something is probably shorted out.
