I have 2 questions for anyone that will help me. I've gone to SAE institute website to check out their admissions process. They said that i would have to take a 30 question multiple admissions test about Sound? I have not taken a single course on Sound when i was in college a year ago, i am 21 now. I love music its in life 24/7. I want to be able to go to school, i am stressing a little about this admissions test and money for school. I keep teling myself that as long as i Love music and i have a ear for it i will be able to go to school and become a sound engineer. Can i be successful if i dont know any of the equipment i will be involved with in the start? i tell myself whats the school for then, to learn those programs and the learn how to use the equipment. right? Second question is do you happen to know what other schools i should be looking into in NYC?

I've posted here before and have read that "dont get into the business if you dont absolutly love what your doing" again i dont know any of the equipment i will be using but i believe i have an ear for music. Can i be successful?
