Old-school Recording tricks!

Old-school Recording tricks!

Many of my family members and friends used to put socks over there microphones to reduce the amount of treble while recording vocals. My question to my audio companions on this forum is "What do you do personally?" I used the sock, and yes it worked for the most part! I'de like to see some other ideas you fellas have when recording! That'd b rt! Thanks!!

Beer mat, the carboard type, under the snare springs to tame those puppies a touch.
