Mixing

Hi, I'm new here.. I'm a rapper from England.

I'm having a mixing problem. Just for starters, I'm shit at mixing..

Basically, I sort the levels of a track out in Cubase, mix it down and transfer it over to my other computer and listen to it. And it sounds shocking, the drum quality is bad, it just sounds awful.. as if it's too loud.. but it's not.

Can anyone help me?

Would be appreciated if someone could link me to a basic tutorial of mixing.

Cheers.
