I'm New. I Need Some Advice/Assistance.

How's everybody doing? My name is Armen, I'm from Glendale, CA. I'm 19-years-old.

I haven't took the time to search around and read this forum, and I know I should have before making this thread, but I'd really appreciate it if you guys can give me some quick assistance.

I've been involved with music for a few years now. I write, record and mix all my songs. I'm mostly in Hip-Hop. I help others out too, and I'm currently working on my debut album. I do this all in my own home studio which I just set-up.

My question is, I'm really interested in behing "behind the boards". I want to learn how to learn the controls of mixboards, learn how to master - learn everything. I'm really considering a career in this field, but I'm not sure who to talk to, because I don't know many people who have knowledge about this industry.

I've heard about some schools here in LA, but again, I don't know which is the best one for me. I also want to know, what's the wage for someone in this field? How much do they normally make? I've talked to former sound engineers and they had only negative things to say about the wage.

ANY help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
