unless you can prove it i call bullshit

The snare drum frequency range is from ABOUT 100 hz to 12 Khz, with the waveform peak at about 1 Khz. The resonance curve of a snare ranges from 800 Hz to 2 Khz. The 'snap' of a snare drum is in the range of 8-10 khz, with the 'boom' around 200-300 hz. With proper mike placement, the peak input DB from a normal hit is around 95 DB..

Every mike on the market, even a $20 "The Singing Machine INC" microphone can adequately pick up these frequencies and DB to create a usable signal.

Enough proof for you? Or do I need to go into Attack, Decay, Polar patterns, response curves and dynamics?
