This year i will grduate as double bass player (great job title), i will write a scientific text concerning technikes and soundings of recording the double bass in jazz music.
It will cover historic approaches from the first mikes being placed in front of the bass to modern recording technikes. It will also deal with how listeners respond to these methodes
Right now i try to gather information, witch in this case gets harder than i thought!
Most text documents and pictures about the old masters don´t cover the bass recording very much...
So if someone knows of any material that might be of interest, it would really cool to let me know.
