What can i do now?

Hello all, I recently got into my new new passion icon_biggrin.gif, and I plan on making a good career off of it. However, I'm only but a sophomore in highschool, and was wondering what can an aspiring audio engineer do? I live in Tucson, and I don't think there too many studios here, and even if there was, I doubt they would let me annoy them all day with my questions. What's a good mixer for a beginner trying to practice,? Also, would you guys recommend this school? http://www.cras.org/ ? And the site doesn't show any signs of how much it costs (not a good sign), so if anyone ever went there or has info that would be much appreciated.

Thanks for any help in advance,

Vytis

1. Why don't you go to Barns&Noble or Borders and check what books they have on the subject?

2. Another thing you might wanna try is Google search.

Once you learn a bit, then you'll ask smart questions and won't be embarrassed to ask them.
Good luck.
Just an idea,

Just know that right now the job market is oversaturated and this is a hard career to get into these days. But put everything you got into learning and making connections with others on the music scene and you'll be alright.

Check out this book: Modern Recording Techniques by Hubert and Runstein. Get the latest edition.

Good luck, and welcome to the field!
