help with midi samples!!!

hi, I just got a m-audio 425c and my plan was to use it to fire off live midi samples from movies n stuff. I converted all of my samples to midi format, but i dont know how to go about playing them with the controller. the software that came with it wont let me import my samples so do i need a different sample player program? does anyone know of the program i would need or somewhere i can go to figure out what to do? thanks alot for taking the time to read all of this...

If the software will not allow you to input your own samples then yes you will need one that does.

A laptop might be a good move, you could load it with a ton of software.

Codey, the easiest I can think of would be Reason. I take in Reason the NNXT sampler, and load sounds and save.. then my midi controller can use them.

There are many stripped down shareware programs for like $20 for you to do just sampling in, but best to get something decent.
