Im a new guy from sweden who has BIG problems. Im recording live songs and speech so i decided to record on my computer but i didnt want too loose quality so i decided to record optical. THEN the problems began i i figured out that i cant do anything with the recording untill after the recording and i need to mix while recording so PLEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ anyone i need a software program that can help my problems *

Hmm, you seem to have a few issues here and some confusion.
When you mention optical, what are you meaning? Optical is not by default any better quality than non-optical. I'm presuming you mean the ADAT connection?
Quality in the analogue to digital conversion process is a product of bit depth and sample rate, and some other factors.
If you wish to "mix" while you record I would suggest you buy yourself a portable mixer that you can plug the microphones into. That would be simplest. _________________ Recording Studio Suntans
