Firewire

Hey! I just put a Firewire PCI adaptor thing in my PC, it says in device manager OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller, and it is obviously not installed properly. I tried installing the driver automatically, but that never works anyway. I googled it, but it's really confusing, I don't know what I am looking at. Could you guys tell me how to get this thing up and running? I mean, yesterday, I put it in, didn't do anything, connected a Firewire audio interface to it, and managed to install that correctly, I turn it on today, the audio interface shows up as not connected to the PC, and then the PCI device says it's not installed properly, it is strange, I don't understand that.

You could try uninstalling it rebooting, than plugging it back in and letting windows find it and install automatically for you.

What version of windows is it XP, which service pack? Is it compatible?
