Would it be better or possible if I connect Roland VS2480DVD Digital Workstation together with Mackie SR24?

Or is it much better to use Roland VS2480DVD itself without the Mackie SR24? Basically its for recording sessions.

And yes, what mic model is good for bass guitar recording?

Well it depends on what your recording sessions are.

That Mackie desk is built for live work mainly so not a lot of point in having it for home recording (though I bet thos mic amps sound good) particularly as the Roland seems very much a self-contained unit.

The Mackie would come in handy if you were planning on using a few rooms with some bigger sessions, like lots of drums mics etc, and also for monitoring purposes perhaps.
