I don't think MBox has more than 2 channels.
And I don't think ProTools supports anything except Digidesign and M-Audio hardware.
Look at the REM FireFace 400 instead - a very interesting thing.

The only way I know is to use your own skills: take a paper and a pencil, play the recording and write down that melody.

DPAs are perfect, but I've used them in ORTF pair about 1,5-2 m near the piano. Blumlein is good in acoustic spaces, where there're beautiful reflections, so it doesn't suite well for a dead room.
