i haven't heard anything about this, and i dont see why it would be a bad thing. aslong as the computer is fast enough and has a decent sound card, it should be fine.

no. no, i dont think you can. the output coming from your bass just isn't binary, like MIDI reads. maybe you can do it with an interface or something, but i doubt it.
