well, i would reccomend a good powered sub to match that of the Mackies:
Tannoy
JBL
Cerwin Vega

These will fit your price range

If you want to go to the next level and get the phattest bass ...

Does this mean each speaker (Tannoy) can be powered by 2 amps ?

hi!
I just aquired 2 Boston Acoustics passive subs for my home studio (one for LEFT - The other Right), but I am having trouble figuring out how to wire them to my Tannoy system 1200 studio ...
